New for 2019 - Roaring Fork Weekend!

As many of you know, Colorado is having a huge runoff year and most rivers are just now peaking. With the current flow levels, we have decided it is not safe enough to host beginner runs this weekend.

We still will have Intermediate (class II+ - III) cruises and activities.

Everyone is still welcome and encouraged to come enjoy the weekend. Glenwood and the Roaring Fork Valley have a lot to offer. From hikes, to mountain biking to hot springs, there is bound to be something you can enjoy. This weekend is also Strawberry Days festival! Check out what's happening HERE

We'll be camping in Glenwood Springs at Ami's Acres Campground and doing runs on the Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers, with additional river options in the area.

No need to register - just come have fun!

ORGANIZER: Brooke Smith, if you email please include "CW Roaring Fork Weekend" in the subject line.

CRUISES: There is plenty of beginner-level water in the vicinity, including the Cemetery run that finishes in town.  More confident boaters are encouraged to volunteer to lead and/or sweep.  This is a great chance to get your sweeping or leading feet wet!  Other boating opportunities include Grizzly and Shoshone.  We will be meeting at 9:30 am each morning to organize paddle groups.

GROUP POTLUCK DINNER on Saturday Evening:  You just KNOW that your fellow boaters will be hungry after a day on the river.  Here's our chance to put together a spontaneous, unplanned, yet well-balanced, delicious and nutritious feast that will be remembered during the long dark nights of coming winter. Remember to bring serving utensils, and your own plate and eating accessories.  Trash bags will be provided.  Anyone with a raft table/roller table, please throw it in your gear if we need it.  Don't forget your camp chairs!!!

Come one, come all, and help us round off the summer boating season in style!
