Join us May 24th for a cruise on Upper Clear Creek, a Class 4 run, led by Tim Kunin. All applicants need to be at least solid Class 3 boaters. Please contact Tim for details and to sign up.

Join us for a cruise on Boulder Creek Town Run! This will be a Class 3 run, and is being led by Chris Zeller. All applicants need to be accomplished Class 2 boaters. Contact Chris for details and to sign up.

We will be paddling a Class II section of river in the Glenwood Springs area.  

Specific venue TBD pending flows and Glenwood Canyon access.  

Potential runs include Cemetery (Roaring Fork River), Grizzly, or South Canyon (Colorado River).

2023 Cruise Season begins Memorial Day Weekend!

Dear Members of the Colorado Whitewater Association,

We hope this letter finds you well and eager to get back out on the water! We are thrilled to announce that the 2023 Cruise Season for the Colorado Whitewater Association will begin on Memorial Day Weekend with cruises on the Arkansas River.

As you know, our club has a long-standing tradition of promoting safe and responsible whitewater recreation in the Colorado area. With the support of our dedicated members and volunteers, we are able to provide a variety of exciting and challenging paddling opportunities throughout the season.

Whether you are a seasoned paddler or just starting out, we invite you to join us for another unforgettable season on the river. From class 2 fun floats to adrenaline-pumping class 3 and 4 rapids, we have something for everyone. We will be posting the full schedule of events on our website in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back regularly for updates.

As always, safety is our top priority, and we ask that all members participating in cruises have previous experience on the class of river being run.

We also need volunteer cruise leaders and sweeps! Please contact the CW Cruise Director, Ryan Ness at ness.ryan@gmail.com if you are interested in leading and sweeping cruises for the 2023 season.

We cannot wait to see you all on the river this season! Let's make 2023 another fantastic year for the Colorado Whitewater Association.

Colorado Whitewater's Annual Movie Night returns April 6, 2023 with National Paddling Film Festival Road Show screening!

For 40 years the National Paddling Film Festival has been hosting an annual competition to determine the best in paddle sport videos and images and to support American Whitewater and river conservation. The Colorado Whitewater Association is hosting the National Paddling Film Festival Roadshow (Colorado viewing) at the Oriental Theater in Denver. Event proceeds go to support Colorado Whitewater.

Join us for the screening of several adrenaline-rushing, award-winning films! Cash bar (21+) and food truck will be available, plus prize drawings and giveaways during intermission. For a donation you could be taking home a cool prize! Friends, spouses, kids; all are welcome.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of show.
