2017 President's Message

2016 was a great year for Colorado Whitewater in so many ways. 2017 looks to be shaping up nicely, as well. The 2016 CW board of directors was an energetic crew who took on a number of new projects in addition to all the standard awesomeness of our instruction program, social events, and river events. FEBRUARY

February 5, 1:003:00 p.m. Strokes Clinic: The class will assist you with perfecting the details of efficient strokes. Knowing where your boat should be is only of value if you can get there. 

February 5–May 5: 3:00–5:00 p.m. Kids Paddling Team: This series of classes is intended for youth, ages 8-18, and will provide a progression of skills designed to develop safe, strong and confident white water paddlers. This class is suitable for the brand new, intermediate and advanced youth kayakers. 

February 5, 1:005:00 p.m. Open Pool. Meyers Pool, 7900 Carr Drive, Arvada. $10

February 12: Meyers Pool is closed.

February 19, 1:00–3:00 p.m. Roll Tune-UpIf you are looking to brush up on your roll or are looking for feedback on why you are lifting your head, this two-hour clinic will provide you with direct feedback that will help you on your path to improving your roll.

February 1926, 1:003:00 p.m.: Intermediate Fundamentals Course: This class will reinforce and polish a wide variety of skills over two weeks at the intermediate level in a fast-paced boot camp format. 

February 19, 3:00–5:00 p.m. Strokes Clinic: The class will assist you with perfecting the details of efficient strokes. Knowing where your boat should be is only of value if you can get there. 

February 19–March 5, 3:00–5:00 p.m. Beginner Kayaking Class: This introductory course is comprised of 3 separate sessions to provide a safe, gentle introduction into the world of whitewater kayaking. The classes progress through topics over the course of three 2-hour sessions in the warm pool.
