Good River Beer will be flowing at the takeout party and campground and Denver Water will be flowing (with high certainty at least**) through the tunnel!
Please note the date change from August to September!!
Camping: Camping will once gain be offered at the Berger property (GPS coordinates 39.388017, -105.439813). To get to the campsite from Denver, take a left on Wellington Lake Rd. once you get to Bailey. Go 3.4 miles and look for the drive on the left marked with a kayak paddle.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT DOGS Per the landowners request, please leave dogs at home. Anyone showing up to the campsite with dogs will be turned away.
Again NO DOGS. The landowner has been fantastic to us, but this is his one rule and we have to stick by it or risk losing this spot in future years.
Takeout party: Will be at Pine Valley Ranch Open Space ranch (Bailey Run takeout) from 2:30-5 PM on Sat Sept 15th. You will want to figure out something for dinner back at the campsite later.
Cost: $25* (pay online or cash at the entrance). Cost includes, camping, beer and takeout party food.
This includes beer, food at the takeout party, riverside camping and entry into a raffle to win a free Jackson boat!
Paddling Info: Also, while Bailey is really high quality IV+/V- paddling, Foxton (III-IV) will also have water and be close by as well as Waterton Canyon (class III) and Deckers (class II/III). Trips are not included in this event. Check the CW calendar for cruises this weekend.
* those who commit to volunteer at least 3 hours at either the takeout party or entrance get in free. Please email Pete at Pete Bellande if interested.
** Flows cannot be guaranteed. In the very unlikely event that Denver Water cannot turn on Robert's Tunnel, refunds will be issued.
Thanks to our sponsors!
