CW Conservation Activities

CW is involved with conservation activities throughout the year. From river cleanups to conservation articles in The Spray newsletter to special events, we promote the health of the riparian environment in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Here are a few of our activities:

  • Host the South Platte River Cleanup held in April of every year - Click here for the 2017 Cleanup
  • One representative on the South Platte Enhancement Board (SPEB)
  • One representative on the South Platte River Master Plan - River Vision Implementation Plan (RVIP)
  • Two representatives on the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA) Citizen's Task Force
  • One representative on the Upper Colorado Wild and Scenic Shareholders

What's Your Conservation Care?

Show us the project and we'll show you the money! (Well, at least as much as we can muster.) CW is soliciting proposals for conservation projects for your favorite abused, neglected, in need of TLC stretch of river, put-in, or take-out. We're looking for projects that can be completed in one day (or less) with a limited number of participants and limited materials/equipment. Contact our Conservation Director.

Watch our video from the 2016 South Platte River Cleanup that CW Sponsored on April 23.
