Nik White

Nik started kayaking in 2008 while working as a raft guide on the Youghiogheny ("Yok") river near Pittsburgh, PA. Nik moved to Colorado in 2011 and never looked back.

He is the current Access and Conservation Director for Colorado Whitewater as well as runs the Colorado Whitewater Instruction Program in the winter.

In addition to his work with Colorado Whitewater, Nik is on the South Platte Enhancement Board and Outside 285 where he represents paddler interests on the Upper South Platte River. He is a member of both the Whitewater Kayaking and Packrafting discipline committees of the American Canoe Association. He holds ACA Level 4 Kayak Instructor, ACA Level 3 Packraft Instructor, ACA Level 5 Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, and Wilderness First Responder certifications.

Nik now lives in Golden, CO and teaches whitewater kayaking, swiftwater rescue, and packrafting through the company he founded Whitewater Workshop.
